TAG Honored with Three Telly Awards
The Atkins Group Wins three Telly Awards for its work with St. David’s Healthcare
San Antonio, TX June 1, 2020 – Marking its 41st anniversary as the world’s largest honor for video and television content across all screens, The Telly Awards announced this year’s winners on May 21st, including three awards for San Antonio headquartered advertising firm, The Atkins Group. The Atkins Group (TAG) was awarded the Gold Telly for its 60-second commercial featuring a testimonial ad for St. David’s Healthcare as well as two bronze awards for two additional videos.
The Gold Telly focused on TAG’s efforts portraying St. David’s work with an aspiring weightlifter who lost his leg in a car accident. By designing a comprehensive rehabilitation program St. David’s was able to help Stephen to continue pursuing his dream. TAG also won two Bronze Tellys for Brand Evolution TV in Branded Content division and Moms and Babies in Social Video: Health & Wellness division, both for St. David’s Healthcare.
“Every client we’ve worked with has a compelling story,” said Dirk Mitchell, Director of Creative Services of TAG. “Our job is to find a compelling way to share that story, to take the lens of that story and share something fundamentally important about the heart of the business.”
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honors video and television made for all screens and is judged by The Telly Award Judging Council; a group of leading video and television experts from some of the most prestigious companies in entertainment, publishing, advertising, and emerging technology.
“We spend a lot of time listening to the creative community and our industry to better understand where the opportunities are for storytelling, and Social and Branded Content rose head and shoulders above the rest,” said Telly’s managing director Sabrina Dridje. “These are areas that take a specific set of skills to produce great work, and as an organization honoring video and television content, spotlighting their efforts is fundamental to our mission.”
In addition to a refreshed mission and recent rebrand, this year’s Telly Awards boasted a new roster of judges, comprising the most diverse and elite group of television and video industry leaders in the award’s history.
